I am selling my Merkel 470 NE Double Rifle. It is in excellent condition given when I bought it I immediately sent it to JJ Perodeau to have the gun completely looked over with anything wrong fixed after buying it from Ralph Martini in Canada.
* JJ fixed a broken sear that keeps the gun from double firing.
* Regulated to shoot within 1.5 inches with RL 15.5 at 86 grains producing 2052 FPS within safe PSI.
* Rifle milled for a red dot scope.
* When JJ returned it to me it is perfect with his signoff.

The gun dimensions are as follows:
* LOP 14 5/8
* Weight 11.0 pounds
* Barrel length 23 5/8
* Nice engraving with animals on each side

The gun has normal wear marks from Africa Hunting almost exclusively with a few light stock marks on it.

I paid the following for the rifle having gotten it from Ralph Martini in Canada who as all of you know is a very reputable gun seller.
* $10,030 American after conversion from Canadian currency and having it delivered to US.
* $ 850 JJ Perodeau total gun review and repair.
* $10,880 Total all in cost.

The only reason I am selling it is due to wanting another double!!! The gun is an excellent shooter!!!

$9,500 a 13% discount to what I paid without the SRO Red Dot scope.

Does it have ejectors?

Is the optic included? What load is it regulated with?

I see the load data. How does it do with factory ammo?

No, the scope is $500 by itself…i am keeping it. that $500 was a real deal. try buying a Trijicon SRO 1.0 MOA for that now. having said that if someone wants it included it would be an extra $500 my cost. RL15.5 at 86 grains producing 2052 FPS within safe PSI

i never shoot factory ammo. Having owned 5 DRs the key is finding both bullet weight and FPS…if factory ammo matches that then you will find good regulation. According to JJ DRs in 470 NE should be between 2050 and 2070 based on my latest conversation with him for good regulation.

So the price for gun and optic is 10000?

I googled Reloader 15.5.

It’s new to me. But now I know what you are talking about.

yes. if you want the gun and scope $10,000

Decelerator pad?

I like that load with only 86grs of powder - should reduce recoil!

the recoil is not bad at all with this load to your point

If you sell this, what are you buying next???
not sure yet but looking at several different ones. remember i am the Toby of DR lol!!!! i can’t seem to stay long with one even though they are awesome and fun. i just have to have another. happy thanksgiving my friend and hope your dad is well!

Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.
