Thought I'd post a couple pics from this year's trip to northern Missouri turkey hunting. My dad and I go up every year, I was pretty tight on time this year but still got up for 3 days. Dad killed a nice gobbler on Friday, and I ended up with a nice one Sunday morning. We hunted again Monday, heard a ton of gobbling on the roost, but none wanted to play the game with us.
This tom hung up at around 80 yards, then we saw he had a hen with him. He bred the hen, then came to beat up our jake decoy and that was his last hoorah.
I ate my only Illinois tag this year, so it was nice to get a bird down. Especially hunting with my Dad. Now I just have to wait until this coming Monday, then its off for 10 days in the Eastern Cape!
