Well they are finally getting close to being done after taking 16 months to get from Mozambique to SA. Craig, with Bullseye Taxidermy in Vaalwater just sent me some photos this morning to get me "fired up" and excited about my mounts!

You just took me right back to the shop with this picture. There were two lions being finished in the same spot the staf are standing last time I was there.

Sandy has to be cheating and I will talk to Craig myself. Putting Common Duiker horns on a Suni like that.
It's cheating.
Have to feel for you Wes, when the taxidermist and wife gang up on you like that.

Thanks Wayne! Never thought about a diarama with the croc and the boat.....that would actually be pretty cool. (I guess I need to extend the trophy room!) I told Sandy what you said about the duiker horns on her Suni. She said we're just jealous!......LOL

LOL...The sad part is, I went and look at the picture again and Sandy's Suni horns are almost bigger than those on my Oribi!.....:doh2: :laughing:

Looks like you have to schedule a trip to West Africa to look for orbi, dwarf buffalo, roan and lion to to make up for the suni....it's only fair.

if/when im fortunate enough to stick one that's something just like id love to get it mounted .
spoke to the taxidermist when we were in the city on Thursday , about just that pose , he reckoned it would be 5 grand , if you don't mind me asking
what will it set you back for him ?

Thanks! Bullseye's standard rate is US $430 per meter in linear length. (X 14'-7" or 4.5 meters approx) See attached 2014 rate sheet. Doing the same mount here at home would set me back about US $6,000. Even with the shipping, I come out ahead.
