My Ceska 550 Safari Magnun in 458 Lott.

Hello friends, I open this post to teach the rifle purchased. The weapon is still in the armoury, so I reserved until I has finished pay the rifle. The merchant has commanded photos that I asked him to my email and I wanted to share pictures with you all the discomfort I I could cause. I hope you like.

A greeting

Oscar.

Congratulations Oscar!

Glad to see you on Africa Hunting, and I don't think you could have made a better choice in a new rifle for dangerous game, than the CZ 550, chambered for 458 LOTT. The recoil is not all that bad, and you will get used to it very quickly. Just do your first few shots standing, and you will be fine, and you will absolutely love the cartridge!

Again, congratulations! Welcome here!:thumb:

Thanks Duggaboy, the rifle is a whim, since I cannot hunt in Africa, prices are out of my reach:(, but I had the illusion of buy me a great rifle, because I have a 338 WM, a 375 H & H and now I wanted a Big Bore and I discovered the 458 Lott. I have to say that I am also in love "with" the 416 Rigby, but I wanted a real "stopping power" and I think that little or much as I use the rifle, I will be happy:wink2:.

A strong greeting

Oscar.

Hello; I show you the pictures of my rifle. They are finally made by me. Forgive you the poor quality of the photos I have done them with my mobile.

A greeting

That is quite a piece of heavy artillery! Enjoy your new toy!

I'll be out playing with my new .416 Rigby this week too.

There you go!!i love the timber....the butt and its cheekpiece also boast a good shape.A great gun indeed.Get to work buddy, put it to some excercise!

Thank you both:

I now can not buy any ammo, it is really expensive (I've asked in a trade sale of weapons and a cartridge costing 21 € (approximately $ 31) so that the box of 10 cartridges in that trade costs 210 euros ( approximately $ 310). I figured it's crazy and I decided to purchase a recharge (slowly as all that can afford someone with a modest salary and family) and as I have ammunition (will be a while) go to test the rifle and I promise pictures and if my brother comes with me to a video on youtube.

Regards,

Oscar.

P.D: The box of cartridges in question is brand Norma PH

Retrieve this topic to say I have not tried my rifle, ammunition is expensive and my salary too low to the moment buy cartridges of 458 Lott, but someday hehe. So I'm looking forward to feel the "soft caress of Lott on my shoulder."

regards,

Oscar.

CZ 550 Safari Magnum in 458Lott? Very good dangerus game rifle.

Many thanks mate, as I said is a fad opuedo little use to him, but loading the 458 Lott properly think I'll use it to hunt boars although I have weapons and cartridges suitable for this purpose. but; What is life if we do not give a treat once in a while?

Greetings and good day,

Oscar.

Very nice rifle sir

It's been a while since I last participated in the forum. First of all, I'd like to wish you a magnificent 2025, a bit late, and to get back to the point, to stir up trouble, is the 458 Lott suitable for stopping the charge of a Cape buffalo or an elephant? I'll leave it there.

They have tried to exchange my Ceska for a Sako 85 Brown Bear in 416 Rigby, for a Winchester 70 Pre 64 in 416 Remington Magnum, for an Express Gravex in 375 HH Magnum, for a Savage 110H in 338 Lapua with a large scope and for money. But I can't, in Spain I know that there are few Ceska 550 Safari Magnums in 458 Lott. I think that when the undersigned dies he will ask that this rifle be buried with me. Hehe.

It's harmful to come to this site. I hadn't thought of anything to save up for, but now I do. If I have a 458 Lott and a 375 H&H Magnum, isn't it true that I'm missing a 416? It will surely be a Rigby, since I saw some Brno/Ceska at a good price. My madness has no limits. It will take time, but I will achieve it.

I concur that this site fosters madness. I had a 300 Win Mag before I found this place. I had a curiosity about the .375 H&H and the digging I did here led to my own adventures with the medium and large bores. It has been enjoyable.
