I have hunted in several countries and had been to Africa on sightseeing and Photo trips but never hunted. In 2019 finally got to go to Namibia on my first African Hunting safari. Our trip was set with Khomas Highlands Safaris in Namibia. Issac met us at the Airport loaded our luggage and we were off. We arrived about midnight , , went to bed , woke showered met Philip and our guides. Eat a great breakfast, went and shot rifles and we were hunting. Had three animals in my mind Kudu, Gemsbok. and Springbok. Saw several Kudu on the first morning but none I shot. First afternoon came upon very nice Red Hartebeast it became my first African trophy. First day saw several species of animals and realized how many animals I was really interested in. Second morning Issac found a Kudu for me, It made SCI minimum 121 6/8. Second afternoon very nice trophy Springbok. Third morning Trophy Blue Wildebeast. Third afternoon Zebra, 4th morning Steenbok making SCI minimum, , 4th afternoon Impala, Fifth morning Baboon and Jackle, Fifth afternoon missed huge Warthog. This is truly the most amazing hunt I have ever been on. Every need was attended to Daily laundry and linen, very comfortable and clean accommodations , fantastic meals, If you drink bar with beer on tap, cooler with beer, wines, soft drink, juices, waters, ciders,. After we settled in Philip said they were going to town to replenish supplies and ask if there was anything special we needed or wanted. I could eat the Chefs cooking year round. Everyone there treated you as though you were special. Made several new friends while I was there and still keep in touch with owners and guides. Have return trip 2021 and 6 friends are going with me. Could not believe the amount of game, read several expert that said you could book 10 day hunt and not kill a Kudu . Had opportunity at several good Kudu in the five days I was there. Cant imagine a better place to hunt. They look for Trophy quality animals, even for first time hunters, and they stay with you from start to finish..
