Hi I am headed for my first hunt in Nambia March 27th. Wonder if I there is any vaccination I should be getting? Other then covid!

Its been a while (2013) but then we needed Yellow Fever and took rabies vaccine as well because of the north of Namibia (capri strip) and also malaria prophylacis. Make sure your tetanus shot is up to date as well.

I traveled to central Namibia last year. No additional vaccinations required. I had not been vaccinated for Covid either.

Have a look also that the following informational links:

Agree with all of the above. Depends on where you go. If not caprivi you really do not need anything. I say this having been twice and heading there again in May. That includes a trip with my whole family including a four year old. In 2020 I was on the first plane in when they opened again. Went tot he caprivi and even then didn’t worry about any shots or malaria for that matter. Have fun and good luck.

Tetanus and Hepatitis all I got when I went.

Nothing is required for Namibia. Malaria is only a concern in Caprivi. Yellow a fever is just Zambia and further north. Go have a great safari and don’t worry about anything!
