Greetings thoma018,
Khomas Highland Hunting and Fishing Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.
Sorting out which safari company to book your first time to Africa with, indeed is daunting.
Speaking with as many people who have hunted with whichever Safari Company you are focusing on is super important.
That said, it is good to keep in mind that in any customer service related industry, hunting or otherwise, you can’t make everybody 100% happy 100% of the time.
The trick is to thoroughly research any outfit that you are getting close to deciding to send a deposit to.
If there’s a nay sayer or two in the mix, it is very important to speak with them as well as the happy ones, if they are willing and then draw your own conclusions.
Some people have legitimate complaints but some people just cannot be happy, no matter what.
Fortunately, the typical Safari Client is easy to get along with and generally happy to be treated fair, along with happy to be hunting in a remote, game rich area.
If a long list of happy customers is available for you to contact, that is a good sign.
If then you actually contact them and over all, at least some of them either have been repeat clients with the outfit you’re looking into or, they say they plan to do so, then likely you are on the right track toward safely sending your deposit / reservation money.
This forum is a great resource for speaking with clients who are members herein and have hunted with any of the Safari Companies listed as Sponsors-Members here.
Anyway, I am positive that you get my drift, IE: thorough research is essential.
Best Regards,
Velo Dog.
