Hey guys - am new on the scene so thought I would introduce myself! I am a pro hunter in Zambia and hunt some top areas here. I also have my own game ranch here. Am an avid bowhunter and specialise in guiding all hunters on dangerous game. Would be happy to help out where and when I can. Looking forward to this new experience!!

Hi Bowhunter welcome what areas have you hunted in Zambia?

You are welcome Strang.Hope you will be of great assistance to all the bowhunters in AH.

Hi, Welcome to the website. We could always use a PH from Zambia on here. I never have been to Zambia, other than in my dreams, so it will be nice to hear your comment and suggestions about hunting in Zambia.

Welcome! Just like enysse, I'd like to learn more about Zambia.

Thanks Louis, Have hunted the kafue areas and several in Luangwa and the zambezi valley , plus all the wetlands. Being a PH here , I have had that opportunity and the privelage of guiding in so many great places!

Zambia is a truly great country to hunt and the options are endless!! Your budget hunter would want to hunt the game ranches but if you can - the concession areas are a must - you really get the feeling that you are in true Africa! The other great aspect is the diversity of species of which so many differ to our southern neighbors. Do you bow or rifle hunt??

Strang I have hunted the South Luangwa near Petuake wonderful place. I have also been up too Makushi very good Sable on the private game farms there. It must be wonderful to Ph in Zambia.

Would have to say I am in love with the place.

Hi Strang,

I bow hunt, muzzleloader, and rifle hunt here in the U.S. But for the most part I would prefer to rifle hunt in Africa. It is more of cost issue. Bowhunting can require extra time and effort. The rewards are very nice though.

I'm not sure when I'll get back to Africa. I will say this to anyone on here. I would like a leopard, sable, roan, and cape buffalo. I'm 36 yrs. old so I have time on my side yet. The animals I really like are the sable, roan, the kafue and black lechwe in Zambia. Since I got a red lechwe on my last trip...he is lonely and might need some company at later date.

I think Zambia has a lot of great plains game that is different from South Africa and Nambia.

Welcome to AH Strang! Glad to have you on board. I should say that I know Strang for many years from the SCI convention and he truly has done it all when it comes to bowhunting in Africa. You'll be a true asset to our community. I would love for you to post some of your trophy pictures.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
