Hey everyone,

Just joined after discovering AH while looking for information on hunting in Africa. I also just booked a bow hunting trip for plains game in the Limpopo area for 2024.

I have only been hunting for about 6 years. I hunt just outside of Rocksprings and have been on 3 elk trips. Usually hunt with a bow and can’t wait for my first hunting trip in Africa.

Looking forward to learning from others.

Welcome @HarpG. I'm so glad you found AH! You have definitely found the right place to learn as much as possible about hunting in Africa. I'm excited that you are gong to Africa for your first time. You will LOVE it. I'm on a mission to have everyone fall in love with Africa like I did. LOL! Enjoy the sight.

Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
