New to me 1895 in 30-40!

Hi all I just wanted to show off my 1895 miroku in 30-40 krag, the banded front sight, sling swivel, pad and checkering were done by Dennis Olson and the bolt mounted aperture sight was done by Andy Larsson of Skinner Sights, has anyone here hunted with 30-40? This one really likes 180gr!!!

The 30-40 in a Krag Jorgeson was my first deer rifle and it served me well for several years. Slickest bolt action ever made. IMO

Nicely done. The Winchester pad, peep, and barrel mounted sling stud are nice touches.
Now go shoot some deer, hogs, and such to break it in.

Then look for an 1895 .405 WCF to raise your game a bit by shooting some big nasty stuff!

My grandfather had one of those 30-40 Krag. When he died, I was hoping I could get it, but my uncle got the claim on it.
