Hello danielstimothy,
Khomas Highland Hunting Safaris of Namibia, welcomes you to the greatest forum on earth.
Tell us a bit about your rifles and sighting equipment.
If war breaks out (as it does from time to time) and you are a long range shooter of note, indeed you could be quite valuable.
I used to live where ground squirrels were a large problem for farmers.
There I learned to hit the little crop wreckers at distance.
My favorite rifle for rodents was then the .220 Swift and 55 grain Sierra flat base spitzers @ a little over 2800 feet per second.
My scope was a vintage fixed power 10x Leupold with fine crosswires and target dot.
For game animals, such as what Africa has to offer plus what’s available here in N. America, I have practiced much for stalking in close to my quarry and using round nosed bullets, at slow to moderate velocity.
Best Regards,
Velo Dog
