I'm hoping someone might have some reloading data for some North Fork 458Lott information on their 450gr SP bullets. I have emailed them for the information, no response. It's been 3 weeks and would like to have a good starting point. Heck I need to make sure I have the correct powder.

I have no problem using Barnes TSX reloading data and working my way up.

Thank you in advance.

Wish I could contribute but I'm just going to pull up a chair to this campfire so I can listen in...

Well I'm going to start with this information. It will be next week before I can start. Will update on findings.

Hi
Sorry that we didnt answer you. I cant find any email about 458 lott in our system. Were did you send that email?
For 458 lott we have the following loaddata right now. We work to have some more in the future.

Warning: These loads are not valid with substitutions of different bullets of the same weight. Variations in bullet material and length will alter net case capacity, pressure and velocity results. Primer selection is specific and primer types are not interchangeable. This data represents load development in our firearms and test equipment and may easily differ in other rifles. All loads should be reduced by 8%, and developed following safe handloading practices as represented in established reloading manuals produced by component manufacturers. If you are unfamiliar with proper reloading techniques, please have our bullets loaded by an experienced company.

Have always found North Fork (Reloading International) to be helpful. They are in the buisness to stay has been my un associated opinion.
Good info but now would ask for the info on a 500 gr bullet in the 458 Lott.

Would you provide reloading info on your 500 gr bullets in the 458 Lott. Thanks

Something you should take note of and change on the data.......

Under the 300 NF Premium Soft... SS and the 325 NF CPS...... I am seeing only "4198" listed, it should list as H-4198....... Do not confuse with IMR......... The powder used is H-4198.............

So IMR4895 82gr seems to shoot well with the 450gr.

2338fps avg and stacking up.

Hi.

Do you have any reloading data on 470NE with these bullets?

I have used the same data as the Swift A Frame. North Fork bullets are bore riders so pressure will be less than listed for just about any other bullet if not every bullet data. I start out 2 grains less than max listed and most of the time I get higher velocities than data lists….+1 for North Forks.

After our last trip, I'm sold on North Fork bullets. Had over 4' of penetration on a lion. 450gr going 2350fps. Very accurate bullets, very happy with the performance.

did a lot of testing on the Lott and settled on IMR-4320, some years ago, but suspect lots of todays powders will work, as II recall I used 8o grains and worked up to 83 , for 2350 fps with a 500 gr bullet w/o problems in hot weather...Lots recoil with that caliber, such that I opted for the 416 Rem and 404 J.

The way it's coming up for me, I believe the column headers are off and should adjust to the right by 1 column.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
