Nosler factory 9.3x62mm ammo

I recently bought some Nosler Trophy Grade ammo with the 250 gr AccuBond from the overstock at Shooters Proshop. I went to the range and shot some PPU 286 gr ammo and Nosler 285 gr AccuBond before shooting the 250 gr ammo. I fired 10 rounds and then noticed the cases. Some had the primers fall out and the plunger imprint on the case. The bolt opened easily and no sticky extraction. There were no issues with any of the other ammo. I have emailed Nosler to see what they have to say. All of the ammo was fired in a Steyr-Mannlicher Model M Professional. Anyone have any problems with Nosler Trophy Grade ammo?

That does not look good at all. I purchased a few boxes last year but haven't tried them, used Geco 255 gr for the past deer season. I'll be very interested in the response from Nosler. Thanks for posting on your issue.

I bought both the Custom and the Safari last year and both were 200fps below advertised. Out of a 25" bbl. Contacted Nosler and they said there might have been a misprint on the label(s)???

Beyond strange. Is the blue stuff supposed to be a sealant?

The ejector marks, if that's what I'm seeing, are a sign of excessive pressure. As are blown primers.

Don't understand the blue stuff. Maybe they put the extra powder from my ammo in yours?

That is where the plunger/ejector makes contact with the case. If you are referring to the primers it is soot.
The bolt shows no signs of any damage

The “bang” sounded normal and the recoil seemed normal. Hopefully I will hear something from Nosler. I was going to buy some more but kinda glad I didn’t now. Both boxes I have are from the same lot

You don't say if you have problems with other ammo but to be safe I would get your head space checked anyway. Going by the velocity on the box they are not hot loaded as I get 2,700fps with 250 grainers out of my Whelen. How do UNFIRED case measurements compare with your other ammo.
I would go as far as saying you got a bad batch of ammo but it will be interesting to see what Nosler has to say.

This is most unusual . I almost exclusively having been making use of Nosler Partition soft nosed factory loads for hunting thin skinned large game , for over three decades . I am yet to experience any issues of this sort .

I personally use 500 grain Nosler Partition soft nosed factory loads in my .458 Winchester Magnum . It works commendably well against marauding Royal Bengal tigers , Asiatic leopards , Asian sloth bears , Bengal bush boars and large Axis stags . I have used the 250 grain Nosler Partition soft nosed factory load in a .338 Winchester Magnum with extremely successful results against Himalayan ibex . I used 286 grain Nosler Partition soft nosed factory loads in a 9.3x62 mm Mauser in order to secure one of my Pakistani Markhor goats .

I am most curious to see how Nosler responds to you , in regards to this occurrence . Please do keep us updated .

I have often looked at the claimed velocity figures for the 250 Accubond in Nosler Trophy grade and thought it looked "hot".

Also, if you play around with any of the simulators, the Accubond seems to build pressure quickly with quite a few powders.

I have run 250gr accubonds in a 22” barrel at 2605fps with no pressure signs using both CFE223 and RL17 and no blown primers. The ammo in question definitely looks too hot, but could also be caused by a large headspace discrepancy between the factory loaded ammo and the rifle chamber
