The abovementioned hunts start first week of February!

My understanding is that PAC animals in Zimbabwe may not be LEGALLY hunted by foreign hunters. Only residents of Zimbabwe can legally participate in these PAC hunts. Management animals may be hunted by foreigners and cannot be exported but, as of yet, Parks has not settled on official quotas and pricing for Management animals.

Please clarify the legality of these PAC hunts as they pertain to foreign hunters being involved.

Where in Zim. are these hunts to take place?

Pintoguy,

In addition to your question of where in Zim will the hunt take place I am interested in the name of the registered Zimbabwean outfitter and the names of the Zimbabwean fully licensed PH's.

With all of the problems Zim has, I find it benefits the operators to be open about how the hunts are conducted. The ones that will not provide the basic information in public probably should be avoided.

This hunt may be 100% legal and legitimite. With the advent of this and other forums I am finding hunters are becoming more educated as to what is right and wrong.

These PAC hunts for elephant are legitimate and ALL paperwork is in order to allow a foreign hunter to LEGALLY take the animal. But being in Zimbabwe one CANNOT export the trophy. Should you have any further questions and or speculations please feel free to contact me PER EMAIL.

Thank you.

This is a public forum not a private email forum you posted this hunt on. Very simple questions Area? Zim Outfit conducting the hunt? PH(s)?

I get very nervous when those questions will not be answered in public.

I agree a 100 percent with Mike 70560!!! There should be a lot more information on these offers...and just saying email please isn't good enough for me.:smoking:

Engee

Please may you post the following:

Name of Company ( registered with SOAZ and ZTA )
Name of Professional hunter ( license # of Zimbabwean PH )
Name of Area ( EXACT location )

Failure to do so only alerts the public to possible illegalities! I trust you will furnish us with this information today.

I think that is a very fair request.

As mentioned in my previous Thread's, I asked politely that should you want to discuss at great lengths what the legality or politics behind hunting PAC animals then you are free to OPEN YOUR OWN THREAD AND DISCUSS IT THERE. Please refrain from hijacking this thread for your own purpouses. I think the rules of this public forum state that very clearly as well.

For those interested, the company which are currently offering these hunts is SHANGWARI SAFARIS with owner and operator JUAN PACE in charge. If you wish to obtain any further "proof" of legality then I suggest you contact him directly as he will gladly submit whatever paperwork and licences you request.

Now back to the issue, please refrain from hijacking this thread. If you have any valid questions pertaining to this hunt or any other I have advertised then you are welcome to contact me. This Thread is an advertisement, have the common decency to respect general forum rules.

I could be out of it, but for some reason i don't think asking about the LEGALITY of a hunt offer is interfering or hijacking your offer in any way. If you are the one offering the hunt, you have a duty and an obligation to make sure it is legal and above board.

I have trouble understanding why you are taking it so personal. People are not attacking you, they are merely asking for important details about the hunt offer.

Engee, as the Chairman of the ZPHGA, and a committee member of SOAZ, it is my right and duty to ask these questions. Juan Pace is not a licensed Zimbabwean PH, and Shangwari safaris is not registered with SOAZ.

And as far as forum rules you may want to read this:

READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING
READ THESE RULES BEFORE POSTING in Hunts OFFERED or WANTED Worldwide

Hunting outfitters, PHs and hunting consultants can promote their regularly priced hunts here as well as hunters looking for a specific hunt or to sell or trade a hunt.

All pertinent information and all prices MUST be included.

Just including a link to a website and posting that further details are available there is NOT acceptable.

Interesting...

this hunt is priced at 7000 us or 38500 zar. with the currency rate as of 01, 26 2011 is 7.1 so a quick conversion is 5500. the zar price looks quite a bit more attractive then the us price.

. . . Juan Pace is not a licensed Zimbabwean PH, and Shangwari safaris is not registered with SOAZ.

Engee. . . assuming that the hunt you are offering is on the 'up-and-up' I'm curious to know why you became so defensive upon simple inquiry. Likewise I'm curious to see your response to Martin Pieters.

This keeps getting more interesting. I am watching a TV show called Lethal on the Outdoor Channel and they are hunting dangerous game in Zimbabwe. Guess who the PH is? Yep, Juan Pace of Shangwari Safaris. I dont know when it was filmed however. Curiouser and curiouser.

Guys.I wish to clarify some of the facts that are mentioned on this forum.Yes myself are not registered as a licensed PH in Zimbabwe, but we act as a agent for a licensed Zim PH and safari company. If information was wrongly forwarded to me as such, i apologise for that and will ask Engee to dis continue the advertising there off.I have clarify the situation with Martin Pieters and he informed me of the legal side of the PAC elephants in Zim.
Then regarding the show on lethal on outdoor channel.I wish to say that the client have booked a hunt with my company and then this hunt was forwarded to the Zim outfitter. As you could see on the show, the Zimbabwe PH was allso guiding the hunt. The show was done and aired under my company name , but i can gladly asure you that this hunt was done with a licensed Zimbabwe PH under their company in Zimbabwe. All hunting permits(TR2 ) was legal and on the name of the client.
We have life long clients booking with our company that start out on plainsgame with us and then after several seasons they start on dangerous game. With the trust and relationships built up between PH and client , lots of these cliets prefer to book with their regular outfitter and then the outfit book the client under a licenced PH and safari company in which country they prefer to do such hunt.Sometimes that is not mentioned, but the hunt still remains legal.
If any of such information was misleading , i apologise for it, that was not the idea there off.We still promote dangerous game hunting in Africa and would gladly assist in any matter to make try and make such a hunt possible for any client.I hope this clarify some of the facts.
