On gunbroker now 1 day to go. If anyone is looking
Just send it to me David and I will install my special “Anahuac Best” mount.(patent pending)Appears to be a good deal for someone that wants to shoot with open sights. With the standard safety, you'll either need to replace it with a wing (M70) safety or mount a scope high enough so it clears the standard flag safety on the rifle. And replace a rotten recoil pad which should be simple for a smith. But being it's a .404J, someone will likely snap this up fast!
Yes, I have seen that before...and I think it was from you! I thought maybe you were going to post a real scope mount for a flag safety considering your DNA makeup is half gun anyway!!!Just send it to me David and I will install my special “Anahuac Best” mount.(patent pending)
There will be plenty of clearance for the flag safety!

I’ve got a 375 Whelen Ackley Improved built on a VZ24 action that still sports a flag safety, soon to be remedied. It actually functions with an old Leupold VX2 in medium Leupold rings. It is a pain in the ass but it does clear. It would never work with a large ocular like on a Swaro, Zeiss or the like. But any hoo, why not just change it out anyway because the M70 safety doesn’t suck and the mod isn’t going to break you anyhow. I think if that rifle goes for close to where it is currently sitting it will make a nice buy and leave some room for improvements.Yes, I have seen that before...and I think it was from you!
