Pedersoli Double

Hi All
Friend of mine needing to sell his Pedersoli double hammer gun in 9.3x74r. and is looking for a current value. Metal looks in decent shape but the wood does have some scratches. Spent a lot of money getting it drilled and tapped and has a Leupold 2x7 scope on it. Only used on one safari.

I will try to get some photos but right now just trying to get a ballpark figure. Any help appreciated. Thanks.

That is what I got for mine in like new condition. But it did not have scope mounts.

Do you feel the scope would increase the value? I know it can do the reverse on some rifles but have no idea on one of these.

Yes, It makes it more useful. But detracts from the whole hammer thing.

Scopes on a DR is a personal decision. My eyes do not work well on buckhorn iron sites any longer. I’m quickly coming to the conclusion that being accurate is more fun than looking the part. So I need optics on everything now if shooting past 50 yards.

I traded into my Pedersoli with $4500 in value. And got $3500 value trading it. It’s a great entry level DR. When you hold and handle one, you realize why they don’t make them anymore. there is no way they can break even at the $5000 they charged

So to your question of does scope mount add value. It would to me, because I’m finally admitting my eyes are not what they used to be.
