I plan to travel to Tanzania next month on a two year work Visa. Rather than going through the hoops of bringing my own rifles and shotguns into the country especially for a long timeframe, I'm checking into places where I can purchase firearms. Anyone with expereince and/or names of vendors in the country would be greatly appreciated.

I think it might be easier for you to rent/loan a rifle from your outfitter than to go through the red tape of purchasing a firearm in a foreign country (if possible). Just my .02.

Tom,

I'm sure that's a simple way to do it but frankly, I like using equipment that meets my specifications and comfort level. Part of the hunt to me is matching the firearm, optics and consistency in shooting accuracy so that the only variable in the hunt is my ability to judge the shot.

Much appreciated.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
