After searching the entire north west USA and then western Canada and finding nothing, Zero, nada for the last 10 months.
Nothing available anywhere.

I happened to mention this state of affairs to a friend. He said, "I just dropped into a place that just got a shipment."

After waiting this long and having to curtail shooting practice for lack of ammunition, I was not going to miss this opportunity.

I texted him the powder number and told him to buy everything.

I have now officially joined the Powder Hoarders club!

8 pounds of my favourite being delivered this evening. That is out of a total of 30 pounds purchased.

I'm also going to head out and see if the last few boxes of TTSX are still on the local shelf. If so, they are gone.

At least I can do some practice shooting this year.

Mate , if you can get some ttsx in 375
Don't forget your old mate bluey
Or 180 s in 30 cal
In in the city now , and if we finish here early enough I'm going on a search
If not first thing in the morning , before the appointments start

Just listened to the story of the line in the store behind my buddy.

5 guys slobbering as the 8 pounder went by.

Cash offer of Double the price, on the spot.

Think there is a problem here???

Its been insane for some time now. I finally got a few pounds of Varget off Gunbroker, one guy was local and he had two pounds. Then the lgs finally got some in so bought another pound. Primers I got lots off, brass is always a problem. Stock up on that when I can. Bullets, another problem getting the ones you want. Playing with the .303 Brit right now and found a bag of Win brass in my stack that I forgot I had! Trying to round up some bullets for testing. Sheesh!! Its tough out there!

It is tough when you have to hunt components! Adds a whole new dimension to hunting.

yes it has been insane, i just keep looking and hit all the gun shows and local scheels snag what i can when i can after a while i got back up to where i wanted. till i buy a new gun then it starts over again.

Yep its crazy. Some may remember my post back in sept about my 3 province search for the last 2 boxes of .257 100gr TTSXs. When they said yes they had them in stock I had to repeat the caliber and weight 2x just to be sure. I would have bought more if they had them.

Yeah, you got me beat hands down as a hoarder.
Thankfully, I only reload for three rifles.

Damn, I forgot theres another one about to arrive. Here we go...

It was real dry here in Minnesota,,there was no Powder,Bullets or Primers ,,I had a decent supply so I was still able to kill Paper weekly,,when supplies became available we were limited to 1lb of powder,,500 primers,,50 Bullets and Brass,,used reloading supplies went thru the roof,,it seems to be getting back to normal but the prices have increased the good news is Fleet and Farm which always sold guns decided get into re-loading and being a couple miles from my house is my go to place for supplies,,plus any purchase come with a .04 cent per gallon discount on their gas which is allready .05 cheaper than than in town

i dont reload but after reading this page i just out of interest went on midway uk website, and there seems to be lots of stuff available on there for reloading. all sorts of bullets from different maufacturers.....trouble is i dont think they would ship to you as they wouldnt even send me a synthetic stock for a ruger 10/22 over the 70 miles of water seperating us from the uk. seems that when the uk govnt gave them their licence one of the conditions was they couldnt ship outside of the uk. otherwise i would have brought some over to sci for people.

I'd love to read the news release on that one.

Latest Terror Suspect Arrested;
Local man arrested at Heathrow with Two thousand pounds of gun powder in his checked bag.
As he was being taken away we asked why he was transporting so much powder, the accused said; "My buddies needed it and I was going to meet them in Vegas."

Chopped up the whole thing as I kept hitting the 240 character limit...
Found out the trigger word in the end... It was muzzle or velocity. dropped them and it posted.:)

2,822fps, ES 8.2
This compares favorably to 7 Rem Mag. with less powder & recoil.

*PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS FOR MY RIFLE, ALWAYS APPROACH A NEW LOAD CAUTIOUSLY!!*
Rifle is a Pierce long action, 32" 1:8.5 twist Swan{Au} barrel
{You will want a 1:8.5 to run the heavies but can get away with a 1:9}
Peterson .280AI brass, CCI 200 primers, 56.5gr of 4831SC, 184gr Berger Hybrid.

I know that this thread is more than a year old but as a new member I thought I would pass along my .280AI loading.
I am shooting F Open long range rather than hunting but here is what is working for me and I have managed a 198.14 at 800 meters.
That is for 20 shots. The 14 are X's which is a 5" circle.
