Anyone know who makes them. Warn don't have any listed.

I have them on my Hawkeye 375 Ruger so I almost stuck my foot in my mouth and assumed they'd be the same. But it seems the M77 are offset and the #1 and a few other models are not.

I found these. https://www.brownells.com/optics-mo...rings/ruger-quick-detach-rings-prod59241.aspx

According to this the #1 are Standard Rings.

AH to the rescue!! Looks like you've got your answer. I thought you and tarbe would be collaborating on what sight / scope to put on your 450-400(s). It will be interesting to compare your respective targets. What distance are you planning to zero your rifle for?

According to some charts if I'm .3 high at 50 I would be on at 100. I will only shoot reloads and hope to get on somewhere between 2200-2300 with 400 gr. bullets. I have a weaver 1x3 that I have on my 375 ruger that I will give a try. Always felt the 375 ought to have a more powerful scope. Playing with the open sights now and the old eyes having trouble seeing the front sight.

Oh and thanks for the info on the rings.

Several years ago I put a green fiber optic front sight on my 35 Remington. That front sight now stands out like a "sore thumb." Fiber optic front sights come in red or green. I use my 35 for deer on occasion and they usually show up at or near dawn and dusk i.e. low light. Green is better for that. In bright daylight the red is better. My 404 Jeffery has a red fiber optic on it and I can see it just fine.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
