After two and a half years, my trophies have finally arrived home from my first hunt in South Africa in 2012. Sadly, due to a family tragedy of the original taxidermist who was suppose to just dip and ship the trophies to the U.S., there was a hold-up in receiving them. Thanks to Andrew Pringle of Crusader Safaris (our Outfitter for this hunt) and Henry Baskerville of Safaris Unlimited, the trophies were finally retrieved. The group I was with made the decision to go ahead and have the trophies mounted there in SA. Needless to say, I was a bit concerned. But I am happy to say we are all pretty thrilled with the work done by African Wildlife Artistry located in the Eastern Cape. Just thought I would share the photos. The only animal I did not have mounted was the warthog I shot. I had his tusks made into bottle openers to give to my sons. Just thrilled to finally have them and to see my great room evolving into an Africa room.

:)

They do look very nice indeed and I know how it feels to finally get them home. Congrats looks like your Africa room is well on it's way.

Wonderful way to put it....."on it's way". I have plenty of wall space still left. LOL! ;)

Just be careful I used to have plenty of room left too. I built a trophy room and removed all my mounts from the living room, so that my wife could have it back, but that didn't last too long. Now there is a zebra and a pair of pronghorns in the living room to great all our guests. She says she doesn't mind though, she thinks they are pretty.

That's why I bought another house with an open foyer. LOL!

That's great, nothing says welcome to my home quite like mounted animals hanging in the foyer.:)

True dat! The elk in my avatar is above the front door. I love to see people's reaction when they come in and eventually look up!

WP, your room and trophies look simply wonderful!

Nice high ceilings in the Africa room.
Congrats you finally have some trophies on the wall.
More to come for sure...

Do you have any cull hunts available? 7 days, daily rate plus per animal price?
