MG Hunting - Argentina

Red Stag season

This program takes place in our own hunting ground in the Province of La Pampa. This field has 15,000 hectares of century-old scrublands where the red stag lives among wild boars, pumas and different types of rams. In this area, animals wander wild and free in their natural environment.

No doubt this is one of the most exciting hunts you can do in Argentina, and it is quite common hunters want to harvest more than one red stag trophy.

The staking and hunt take place very early in the morning, before dawn. Strategically located we will listen the stags bellow. Once dawn breaks in, we approach to the animal and assess its conditions to determine if it is a worthy trophy. Close to noon we return to the lodge to enjoy a hearty meal, rest for only a while, and start the ritual once again in the afternoon.

Sounds like a great deal! And those are some fine looking stags!

I have a couple of questions for you on this hunt. What is the regular price of this hunt? If there are 4 hunters do they each have their own guide or does it become 2X1. What other animals are available for hunting? Price list on other animals?
Thanks Bruce

Wow, some nice stags there....I'll just be getting back from SA then, or I would be looking at this pretty hard.

Dear Bill,

Thank you for your comment.

On late April and beginnings of May you will be hunting without roar, this is the reason that the offer is from the 1st to the 7th of April which is the last week with roar (please remember that it´s a free range hunt).

The nearest airports are Santa Rosa and Bahía Blanca (1h 30min/2h aprox. drive) and we do have many different rifles and calibers to rent.

Regarding the wines, I´ll prefer to show you our bar (included in the price).

Thanks Manuel..................I understand the time frame better now. Wow.............love the foto!!...............................FW Bill

I'm not a big wine drinker but the wine and beer are bottomless. Food is best anywhere. Just when your full, the main course comes out;)

Hunting the roar is a truly fantastic experience. It is all free range, you need to work with your guide to pick through the smaller stages and should expect to take a decent stag, but not like ones bred behind a fence. The experience will be of true trophy quality. However if camp is full that week you must realize they limit your guide to assigned areas. Once other hunters get their stage, you are allowed to range more broadly.

It is thick and you will likely get in close. But still need to be comfortable shooting through some brush and shooting quickly when opportunity presents itself. This is a very fun hunt!

@ActionBob .......It was a real pleasure to have been hunting with you that week with you Bob.....I know that was the first time hunting together but not the last one......!!!!

Thank you for the appreciations..........(y)

Guys there is not much left for the rutting season.....a couple month.......for the interested people I can say, try to take a chance....you will not regret and We gonna spend a great hunting week.......(y)

Any AH member should request to hunt with Rocket.

He will put in the efforts to get you on the stags and he is an enthusiastic hunter who is fun to be out there with;)

We are going to have to have an AH week in Argentina sometime. Might be for wingshooting but for sure will be a fun time;)

This is very tempting, but airfare is steep! What other animals are available?

What is steep to you? The point is the air costs are not as high as Africa.

Actually Charlie, air costs can be higher to Buenos Aires than South Africa. Both flights below leave on 03/30 and return on 04//08.
  • Dallas to Joberg - $1220
  • Dallas to Buenos Aires - $1437
I plan to do this hunt one year with my friend Rocket, but the airfare is typically not cheap (this isn't the first time I've looked it up and found similar results in the past).

What airline did you find it for $1200 to Joberg? I wasn’t thinking departing from Dallas so that makes some difference I’m sure. I was thinking out of Atlanta. $1400 is not cheap but not sure it’s steep either for an international flight.

Dear Royal27 and CAustin,

Regarding the flights. Now a days Argentina receives many flights from Miami, this is the reason that Miami is the cheaper point having flights on U$S 800/1.000.

Best Regards,

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.
