Hunting reports
Africa

We (Dad, brother, and I) have plans for our first African hunt in May 19. We are doing a plains game package in Eastern Cape and we are trying to wade through the weeds of trying to figure out the logistics of getting our trophies back to us (any information is gladly welcomed).

I see that @TROPHY SHIPPERS is the recommended customs broker and freight forwarding company of this site but I did not see many reports about this company when searched on this site. For those that have used them, what was your experience?

Thanks

I am planning on using them when my trophies get completed. There were a few driving factors in the decision. one was when I was talking to Tom he gave me his cell number and said call him at anytime and he will answer (this has proven to be true). The second reason is I just got hit with a short notice deployment. My trophies will be arriving while I am gone and I didnt want to make my wife shovel our trailer out of the snow and try to go get them in possible negative 40 degree weather. Tom was the only one that said not a problem I will get them delivered to your door!

Ryanjones, we used Hunters & Collectors, located in Port Elizabeth, great people to work with, and our taxidermist was impressed with their work also. Good luck on your hunt, your first time hunting Africa is a crazy experience.

I used Rex Freight in Port Elizabeth who then hired Coppersmiths for the domestic shipping and customs clearing.

I used trophy solutions ( SA ) for dip and pack in 2015 . They have 99 day guarantee as long as outfitter does his paperwork. I was pleased

I’m having seven finished trophies shipped from Port Elizabeth in few weeks and would like them to come to Dallas instead of Houston. I live an hour from DALLAS and four hours from Houston. Can Trophy Shippers handle customs clearance at DFW?

Hi Hutch!

Yes we can handle the customs clearances at DFW for you. We can also provide a quote for the international shipping if that hasnt been handled already. My cell is 815-529-0087. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions!

Tom

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
