I wanted to pass along my thanks to New Creations Taxidermy and tell AH about what they have done. I went to RSA in May of 2015 and had a good 10 day hunt which included a Sable and Kudu. Not a cheap hunt for me personally with 6 animals taken. Paid in full before I left. My PH failed to deliver my trophies to a dip and pack facility and kept them in his garage for over a year. I was told that the hold up was the dip and pack company. I started a thread here on AH about it and eventually the truth came out. The PH had been lying about taking them to the taxidermist. To make up for it he offered to pay for the dip and pack, which he failed to do. Eventually he took them to New Creations Taxidermy. He failed to deliver some of the paperwork so that the animals could be shipped.
Henry Kemp expressed his frustration with the situation to me. He tried without success to get the proper paperwork from my PH for several months. He offered to do the dip and pack for free based on the fact that he felt like the RSA hunting industry had been given a black eye so to speak about how this was handled. Eventually he accepted some payment for his services as it was not his fault my PH was disorganized and lazy........
In order to get the permits necessary to ship my animals Henry decided to apply for the permits as ex-stock. Meaning I had bought the animals from their stock. This still took about 3-4 more months to accomplish. The provincial gov is somewhat slow. Vera at New Creations Taxidermy was very good at keeping me updated about the process and what we were waiting for. I have numerous e-mails telling me were still waiting for permits.
The permits have finally been approved and the animals are to be shipped. I felt that New Creations Taxidermy had gone above and beyond what they needed to in order to help me out of a jam. Without them my animals could still be stuck in RSA. I would suggest giving them a look when considering companies for taxidermy or dip and pack. Communication has been excellent and prices are reasonable.
My thanks for a job well done and providing a solution to my problem. Henry and Vera I appreciate all you have done. Bruce
