I have a Leica Amplus 1-6x24 that I will be mounting on a yet-to-be-delivered rifle. The scope comes with factory covers (basic form fit plastic pieces that slide on and off), but I'm not a huge fan of them and am looking to upgrade.
I'm generally a fan of the one-piece bikini strap type covers. I really like the factory Swarovski covers with the clear see-through caps, but have also used the opaque rubberized ones like those that come with Leupolds. You can buy the Swarovski covers standalone, and I considered getting the one that fits the Z6i/Z8i 1-6x24, but those Swaros are like an inch longer than the Amplus, so I don't see that cover fitting well unless I tied a knot into the middle of the strap or otherwise cinched up the slack.
Anyone have recommendations for one-piece bikini style covers? From my limited research, I think I might be stuck with the basic rubberized type made by Butler Creek, Timber Creek, et. al. I was hoping for something a bit more practical (clear/see-through caps) or aesthetic (leather). Thanks.
