I am considering purchasing the synthetic detachable magazine model in 30-06 for my father as a Christmas gift.
I am in canada and can pick one up for fairly cheap compared to other brands just wondering if anyone has any experience with them I can find very little information about them in English.
Thank you

NZ Rod & Rifle and NZ Guns & Hunting have done at least one test between them. Australian Sporting Shooter has also published at least one review over the years.

Hi
I have a 300wm in Sabatti Rover 870, wooden stock.
I am no expert at any stretch of the imagination but my rifle has been good to me. Has a decent action shoots straight.

Should be no problem...all the Sabbatis I am aquatinted with in RSA perform well and are very accurate. My son has one in 25-06. No issues with it.

I get a twitch when I hear Sabatti....

MPD61 My Sabatti 300 Win Mag just gets better.
Shooting 180gr Rhino - I am no expert or marksman but my rifle is very accurate and I have had no issues at all.
Cheers

I'd like to kick-start this...........
I am looking at a wood with sights 870 Rover in .222 Rem. Seems like a good rifle.
Any further thoughts?

I had a Sabbati rover in 223 a beautiful little rifle very accurate. In my stupidity I sold it to finance a custom rifle. The only problem I had was a loose magazine, easy fix fill the hole with devcon and redrill it. Problems solved.
Cheers Bob.

Update;
I went back to get it and the sumbitch was gone!!! Who buys a .222 these days!? (besides me)

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
