I have just picked up my May 2015 Trophies.
I got home last night after a 4500 km round road trip to the taxidermist and back including about 600 km of unsealed (v rough) road.

Started to unpack and was relieved that all arrived safely

I will post the photos when I get them on the wall.

Congrats, early Christmas present! Look forward to more pics

Neale, glad your trophies are home.

Is that how the trophies were packed for the shipment?
Your shipping bill must have been a Monster with all that volume.

Glad you got them home safely.

Gezz thats a bloody big crate !
Mine was a third of the size and cost me a smll fortune
how much did they sting you for that in the land of Kangaroos .?

@BRICKBURN and @dory, I had the capes tanned in SA at "Universal Taxidermy Services" and imported into Australia by "Raitt International Freight". The taxidermy was performed by "MARKUS MICHALOWITZ
DOWN UNDER TAXIDERMY & HUNTING" here in Australia. The international freight was only for the capes, skull caps and horns. The taxidermist is over 2000 Km from me so I made the boxes especially for the trip. It seems a shame now to dismantle them.

Knew something had to be up. Glad you did not have to buy your own 767 to get them home.

Show us those trophies when they get on the wall.

Glad you got them home! Maybe you will share a few pictures when you get them on the wall.

Happy times, good for you. Forrest

Beautiful trophies, I'm sure they will look amazing on the walls.

Started to get some of the mounts onto the wall.

I found this piece of gnarly driftwood on the beach and decided that it would make a good pedestal.

Still making some of the structures that the mounts will be attached to and will post photos as they are complete.

Great idea about that pedestal, and keep the box for your next Safari :D Cheers:

I like the driftwood. Gives it more character. Looking good so far. Bruce

At last they are all up on the wall.
I made the shield and map of Africa out of African Mahogany.
I am happy with the result.
Pictures follow

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
