Hello, are there any Weatherby fans out there??

I am selling another safe queen.....my Weatherby Mark V Accumark in 30-378. I am the original owner of this rifle and it has less than 250 rounds through it. I purchased the rifle from Carter's Country in Houston in the late 1990's. I will include the Talley bases and also include approximately 25 pieces of once shot brass.

The rifle is in very good shape. There are some minor scratches on the bottom of the trigger guard, bottom of the magazine and on the bolt handle. If I recall, I think these came from a scabbard during a horseback elk hunt many years ago. See photo. BTW, I did harvest an elk on that hunt, dropped him in his tracks at 355 yards.

The rifle has a 26" fluted barrel with a 2" muzzle break. The LOP is 13.625". I also have the threaded cap if you want to remove the muzzle break.

It had been about 15 years since I shot this rifle so I took it to the range a couple of week ago. The target below was shot at 100 yards with factory ammo. Full disclosure, this was Weatherby factory ammo I purchased about 24 years ago. I was shooting 180 gr Barnes X bullets. Those 4 rounds were the last of that factory ammo.

I am asking $1295 shipped to your FFL. As I have done with other rifle shipments, I will bring the rifle to @Mark Biggerstaff at R and M Firearms and he will ship once funds clear. I will accept Zelle, Bank Check or personal check.

Thats a steal for the Weatherby guys out there!
Dont see this one lasting long.

Nice rifle for reaching waaaay out there.

Hi @Daven22s

The bases on the rifle are Talley bases, so you can get rings directly from Talley (talleymanufacturing.com) or from any of the retailers that sell Talley rings. You could use the Talley QD rings or their fixed rings. They will both fit on the Talley bases that I will include with the rifle.

Maybe the dog days of summer and vacation season slowing things…GLWS.

These are great guns! I received one for my a birthday when in college and hunted with it for many years. Shot a mule deer at roughly 600 yards using my friend’s hood as a rest and the break peeled some of the paint off his hood. :-). Shot it for years after that without a break. Devastating with 165-180 gr. Barnes.

Muzzle brake! Voice recognition sure makes life easier, but I need to proof (or have a doctor’s disclaimer that everything is subject to dictation errors). One more bump for a solid rifle that lays them down with vengeance. I have a picture of three little piggies that did not make it to the market due to the .30-.378. Bad medicine.

I hope you don't mind. I posted this on the Weatherby Forum, not much love for Weatherby cartridges here. Hopefully it will help you sell it faster.
I also hope no offense, but for those who enjoy shooting little pigs for the pit—it plain skull caps them with no meat loss. . .

I run 168 barnes in mine. 3515fps! Kills like lightening. Me and a buddy of mine purchased it a few years ago, went in partners on it. We worked up a load and put a good scope on it and we just get her off the shelf and use it when we need an absolute lazer beam and don't want to have to worry with ranging and dialing.

Thanks, it has been a great gun for me. This gun was the first high quality rifle I purchased and it went on a few great hunts with me. Shot my first elk with it at 314 yards, back when that was the longest shot I had made on a game animal, and it worked great. I had a lot of success with the 180 grain Barnes.

We used head shots on the pigs we shot on our deer lease for the same reason, instant kill and no meat loss! The little pigs tasted so good! The big boars.....not so much

Bill sells good stuff! I’ve bought at least two things from Bill, an ATV and his Zeiss Victory RF 10X45’s. Here’s what I know, he only buys quality in the first place and then takes care of it.

No buyer beware, only buyer be here!
