I don't want to corrupt this thread but I'm curious; how did you get a rolling block to accept a 3 1/4" cartridge? I have a 45-90 WCF rolling block and it barely accepts thar 2.4" cartridge.Heck I'll share a listing photo or two...

Is it a Sharps? No, and I still want one badly. But I like the Remington design too; it's a bit more sleek and has plenty of military and hunting pedigree of its own.

I've seen some chambered for .45-120 and for larger bore cartridges than a .45/.450.
