I am hoping to get the barrel for my 9.3x62 Argentine mauser I am building soon and will be order sights for it. Rifle will be a German/ American sporter style and think the barrel will be 22" 2.5 contour about .625 at the muzzle. I am thinking of using necg sights but not 100% sure which ones.

interested in what you all would use, like to try and keep the price below $250 maybe $300. Once it's drilled and taped and I fit bases I'll run qd rings and a lpvo 1-4 or 1-6, probably use Talley classic bases and rings. Any info would be helpful.

Ya that's probably the front sight I want, have to do some figuring what height insert is needed. Think I was looking at the Talley barrel band it was a bit cheaper then necg.

While we’re spending your money for you, Might I suggest you do a quarter rib rather than a rear island? I would then rebate the quarter rib to accommodate a quick detach reflex sight as part of the process. Yes, you’ll pay more for the Quarter Rib than a rear island, but you get a few benefits along the way including the capacity to have standing and folding rear sights.

If you want to go gourmet on the front, I’d go with a fold-up high-vis night bead which NECG sells, rather than just a normal partridge sight.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
