Somewhat New To The Forums

Hello to all. I guess I've waited long enough to introduce myself. Someone on here recommended I do so a while back, but I just never got around to it, so I will now. I'm from the US, not far from Cincinnati OH. I've never been to Africa but it is somewhat of a dream of mine to do so one day, but for now I'll have to wait and see. Would love the chance to get a cape buffalo. One day. . . . Have spent quite a bit of time hunting whitetails in my state and in Indiana. Not quite the thrill of the big game overseas, I'm sure, but still a good time in my opinion.

I'm a big bore rifle junkie and if its got big recoil, I'm all about it. Anyways, I've bought a few things from the classified section on here before and the people on here have been pretty friendly and helpful. Look forward to dealing with more people on here and spending more time in the community. Might even be selling/buying some rifles on here soon.

Thanks to all the other welcomes. Hey there Kevin. My current biggest bore is a .458 Lott. Love that round and the two guns I have thats chambered in it. A CZ 550(my favorite) and a Ruger 77(the prettiest of the two).

I'm in talks with a gent who has both a 505 Gibbs and a 500 Jeffery, so I might be moving up, but nothing set in stone yet.

Hey Sue, I’ve been up that way near the Pitt. Was quite a while ago now. About 22 years ago now, but it was a fun trip.

Yes I’d love to go to Africa and I missed my chance about 5 years ago when my dad and some friends went. At that time my interest in big game and indeed the big rifles was about as low as it gets. Zero interest. Now, I regret not going. From the pictures they had and the stories I heard, it was a truly amazing experience.
