I just got back from my first ever African hunting safari. It was truly a fantastic, moving experience. I hunted with Safari Afrika owned by Richard and Ruth Lemmer. Mr. Lemmer and our P.H. Rowan Zerf guided us each day of the ten day hunt. Both were very personable and had intimate knowledge of the properties we hunted. We stayed at the Lemmer's home and the accomodations were great. Ruth cooked for us and looked after our things while we were out hunting. The food was great. The other staff, Ester, Prince and Johanes took good care of us and the animals we killed. I ended up taking 7 outstanding animals: a 54 inch Kudu, a 29 1/2 inch Wildebeest, an almost 17 inch Bushbuck, a heavy horned 27 inch waterbuck and very nice blesbok, warthog and impala. The Warthog was by far the most difficult to hunt but I got mine the last evening on the last day with a 200 yard shot. I highly recommend Safari Afrika and hope to return in a couple years.
