South-Georgia 1051 hog shot in 2007

fhm3006 this seems to be on the up and up I will do some research to make sure. I don't know if this is the same one that came out last year that someone shot on a hunting farm in Georgia, they found out that this so called feral pig that was shot last year was bought at a farm auction just days before it was shot or so I heard. Gents is this for real?

1051 pound hog shot by 11 year old boy in South-Georgia in 2007!

Alabama Boy Kills 1,051-Pound Monster Pig, Bigger Than 'Hogzilla' | Fox News

What does our South-Georgia members say?

It is a real story. The hoax part is that the pig was a show pig as Bob said. It was released into the wild. As with any pig they turn wild quickly. It was shot within a year of being released. I am about 99.9% sure this is that story. This is a great story to relate to this thread.....

Yes fhm3006 it is real I can't find the post on the internet about it being raised a released but the Anti-hunters are still beating the kid up about shooting such a rare hog and shooting a poor defenseless animal they must not know much about hogs feral or farm raised hogs, as the old saying go's "were's John? he went to feed to hogs and the hogs ate him" some of those anti's need to dart a few feral hogs and keep them for pets.

Actually the owners say the did not release the pig. He escaped. He was shot a few days later on a different property a little ways down the road. The best anybody could tell, know one who was in the hunting party new he was an escaped pet.

Escaped, released, P&T, .... knew, didn't .... lots of chops one way or the other.

Not a trophy hunt for sure. Would you put that ugly mug up on your wall!?
