How long was the first croc picture? That thing is a toad!
Cheers jacques

Once again a great offer in a truly great place!
Somebody needs to latch on to this pretty quick!

I don't see any bows in the photos. Is this only for rifle hunters or are bow hunts possible?

Ya that croc looks like a monster! My guess 14 ft.

mrpoindexter, yes we can do bow hunting also. But I should advice to extend the safari to 10 days instead of 7 days to be sure as we know bow is a little bit more tricky.
Best regards, Michael

A little update on this offer : Beautiful morning here at Mbizi, the river came down a little bit and the nights start to get colder. Crocs going up earlier on the sandbanks and hippos are around.

Man are those giant lizards ugly! This would be such a grand hunt!
Out of curiosity what are the logistics to get there from the US? Do you go through SA? If so, I guess there’s an overnight there so you would need a SAPS form?
How do you get a gun and ammo into Zambia?

Hi Ridgewalker, When we have guests from U.S they use to flying over Addis Ababa (Ethiopian Airlines) or over Johannesburg, you will be transit passenger and all luggage including rifle is checked directly to Lusaka. If you like to stay in Jo-burg for 1 night you need to declare your rifle, but there is many different flights to pic from so you should book a flight so that you do not have a layover in RSA.

The other question regarding gun/ammo. We applying for a temporary firearm import permit for you, so we need a copy of your passport and so also copy of your firearm license. We need this information at least 4 weeks before your arrival. This cost is including in all of our safaris, but each hunter pay for them import tax on ammo at the customs in Lusaka Airport, the import tax for ammo is 4$/round.

Best regards,
Michael

Thanks Jacques, that croc was taken last year with out measurements, the client was simply not interested to know as long it was a decent old croc. But I will say somewhere around 14 feet.
All the best,
Michael

Hippos from today, two bulls fighting and later decide to charge the fishermen in a canoe... ending well for the fishermen.

Mbizi............love the fotos. I have been looking at all threads related to Zambia, simply because it is one area I have not seen, and would like to. We are coming to Africa in May of 19. Itinerary open. I want to hunt...........but am not interested in hunting lizards.......wife, however wants to photograph a lizard. May a good time for combined foto/hunting trip? It is far enough in advance that I could change date, but after June 30 too late for me........................regards............................FW Bill

Greetings Bill, please if you send a PM we can for sure arrange a combination of hunting and photographic for 2019. I was today selling a unique safari, it's a client that want to hunting buffalo and elephant the traditional way by picking up fresh tracking in the morning and then tracking, but when he in shooting distance he will only take photos, he bring his 500 NE double as backup, but planing to not fire a single shot during the safari. So for sure we can doing a combination of hunting and a photographic adventure for you and your wife.

Then in regards to the period, May is a fantastic time here with day temperatures at around +25 celsius (77 °F) and night down to +15 (59°F) but some places at Mbizi can be a bit green in May, and that make the visibility sometimes less than in June. This year we did early burnings so we have now in some larger areas green fresh grass for the game at the end of May, so it depend of the rain season and how late the rains coming. If you going for Roan and Lichtenstein Hartebeest and other PG I will say June is better than May.

All the best, Michael

Thanks, Michael................I am impressed by the flexibility you have shown, and am also impressed by the "stalker" . My hat's off to him. While I am an avid hunter, not everyone is. Your client will get some fotos that will look a lot different from Park elephant at a concrete waterhole..............We will discuss here what we are after, then PM you to see of it can fit.......................Regards...............Bill

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
