Does anyone use Talley QD rings and bases on their Sako rifles with the standard Sako tapered grooved receiver? If so, how do you like them?

@TOBY458 I sold my Sako 75 last year but I did use Talley bases with QD rings and they worked fine. I had the guys at Talley help me get the right bases, I believe I went with the extended front bases.

I am concerned with the set screws damaging the top of the receiver. Otherwise I like the looks of them quite a bit, and it’s about the best thing going for QD mounts on a Sako.

I did not have an issue with the set screws

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
To much to political shit, to little Africa :-)
