We started the hunt october 14 (for 15 days) with my very fit 62 years old Russian hunter and good friend. Tireless and very shot, I knew we will have a good time. His main goal was lion, leopard and of course whatever we see and he likes. On day one he shot a nice hippo in a thicket at 20m along a sandy dry river bed where we saw many lion tracks. As we drove back about 2 km away from the bait we saw 7 lions!! Off we go and at 5o'clock he shot the lion throught the bush. The bullet of his 458 lott went too high. We found some drops of blood and after 1h30 he shot it again for good. 10 days later he shot a good 62 kg leopard with his 300 WSM. In between and after a few rounds he got 20 trophies animals.
Tanzania is really a great hunting ground where hunters can expect the best.

Thank you all,
Have a look at the new thread, I hunt with this french couple since 2002 and we are always lucky. Anyway Tanzania is very nice, lots of game and nice hunting, not as hard as CAR !!!!!
I will send another report from Massailand which also a great area.
Cheers
christophe

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
