I opened my new RMEF Bugle magazine today right there in front of me in the "Gear 101" section is the new Leupold VX-6 7-42x56!!! It comes with a 34mm tube, side turret focus, pop-up windage and elevation dials, Quantum Optical System, extended twilight and Diamondcoat lenses. Optional Firedot Illumination with 12 power settings and proprietary motion sensor that shuts off after five minutes and then restarts when the scope is moved.
The ad in bugle says they are 1250.00 but the leopold web site list them more than that...

Where does is stop???? What's next 4-80x100 that only lets you pull the trigger when your "on target"

But my real question is where does a guy get 34mm rings??? Ha! I think I better order a couple before Velo Dog corners the market!!
just funning with ya Velo Dog my friend :D Beer Bottle:

I think I'll pass on this even if it were free...but thanks for thinking about us.

Sarcasm was intended:sneaky:

I own 2 of the VX-6 scopes. One is a 4-24 with 34 mm tube on a 300 RUM set up for long range shooting. For the money it is a great value compared to a nightforce etc. Not cheap, but good optics are not. When you buy the scope, they include 1 custom turret from their custom shop. You chrono the round and send the info on the round and they burn the turret. The other is a 2-12. I was planing on putting on a .416 that I had built for a brown bear hunt. It has 30 mm tube. The rings broke after 7 shots. I switched to a Nikon Monarch 2.5 to 10 with .25 mm rings and will just have to buy another rifle for the scope. For the money, it really is great glass

I have a VX6 on my 416 and love it!

That's a wrap, on our first hunt of this years season.

Hunting conditions are a bit tougher in South Africa during the month of February, but can be just as rewarding if done right.
