Trigger suggestions for Whitworth Interarms .375 H&H

I have tried adjusting the trigger on my Whitworth Interarms Model X .375 H&H Mag but I’m just not happy with the results. Too much travel and just don’t like the feel. The rifle is like new and has the most beautiful stock on it that I have seen on a Whitworth so I would like to keep the rifle.

Most of my other rifles are custom built with great triggers. I have a local gunsmith who can do the work but wondered what aftermarket trigger I should buy? Timney? Others? Thanks for your help.

I vote for Timney. The four I have are all perfect and I was able to dial them in to match so I don’t have to think about which rifle is which when shooting.

That is some beautiful wood. Much nicer than my factory Whitworth .375. Can't help you with the trigger as I have the factory one(s), but I would think a Timney would be great.

Yours looks to be a later version, not even sure if the triggers were all the same. I adjusted the one on mine nearly 40 years ago and I have been happy with it.
By the push button mag release and all folding leaves on the rear sight I can see its later, what is the date code on the rear receiver?

I have installed 1 Timney trigger on a Whitworth no problem worked great.

Uhhh no it will never see Alaska but will definitely see Tanzania. It’s already been to Zambia.

Yes, I have done that already. It’s better but still not ideal.

Had to provide some levity for humor. I put a timney in my wifes 375 and it works like a charm.

I just checked the triggers on mine. The .375 "feels" like about 3lbs with no creep, but the previous owner had the stock steel epoxy bedded and jeweled the bolt and magazine follower, so maybe the trigger was adjusted or modified? The .416 Taylor custom feels like 3lbs. with no creep, but the trigger itself is wider and serrated so maybe it's a different brand? The .458WM is basically an unfired factory barreled (no sights) action with a "bubba" done epoxied stock (decent wood though) and the trigger feels like 4-5lbs., but no creep. I might spend the money for a Timney on the .375 for longer shots, but with a .416 or .458 and 75yd. shots max, I'm not sure I'd bother with replacing the factory trigger unless it was really bad? My CZ 550 .375 factory trigger has NO creep, while both the factory .458WM and Lott triggers have some creep. The .416 Rigby has a Timney trigger with no creep at about 3lbs.

I just put a Rechnagle trigger on a military mauser 9.3 project I have going that I got from New England custom that's been excellent so far.

Looks A Lot like the one l had. It had double set trigger. Great if you use the set trigger. Terrible without it. Never could get it adjusted any better. Shot great though, very accurate

I have a friend who put a Jewell tigger in everything he owns. However looking at their website, it looks like they bare temporary out of stock.
