We had an awesome, but shortened, hunt Saturday.
We were hunting in the Mississippi Delta along the Big Black River north of Vicksburg.
In the swamp, there are no grey squirrels, only black squirrels and fox squirrels.
We hunted until a little after 9 a.m. when the wind got around 12-15 mph.

We killed 11 squirrels and 2 large coons.

If you would like to book a Trophy Guided Squirrel hunt, I can do a swap hunt, especially with one of our African Hunting Hunting Outfitters.

But, only serious offers please, as these are trophy squirrel hunts.

LOL Looks like a lot of fun. What are the trophy fees for a large Fox squirrel? Does the hunt cost include trophy prep? I'm sure we could come up with a few more questions. Enjoy eating them. Bruce

Will you cook up some coon stew for the African outfitter who trades a hunt with you?? Some fried tree rat and grits would be an outstanding dinner too!

Savage Hunter: Trophy squirrels, you call those trophy squirrels? :ROFLMAO:

Here's a real trophy squirrel.

So I love squirrel hunting. It was my favorite thing to do as a kid/teenager/college student. On my bucket list was a fox squirrel and a black squirrel. I have since taken about 20 or 30 fox squirrels, I actually use to hunt them from a kayak. They never saw the aquatic attack. But I am missing a black squirrel, I have seen them while deer hunting but always alluded me during squirrel season.

Point of the story, you have something on my bucket list and I will send you a PM once I get off this damn stairmaster.

1. The coons were large. Will be pressure cook in jalepenos and then baked with sweet potatoes.

2. usually the squirrels are fried or made with gravy. Found a recipe for some kind of frenchy sounding baked recipe that we want to try.

3. If an African ph wants to swap a hunt I will provide:
Airport pickup and return
All meals including Dr Pepper, Gatorade, and chocolate milk
Free use of shotgun or 22 rifle
Boarding at Ms Lana's cabin
Skinning and cooking of squirrels and coons.

Not included:
Bullets and shells charged per box
Dip/pack or taxidermy.
Side excursions
Banjo music is extra-- but worth it for the whole backwoods Mississippi experience.

Also: all possums and other non-trophy critters are free of charge. But Ms Lana is picky about what critters she will agree to cook. (But will consider cooking anything for a free giraffe or sable)

Save time. Instead of asking my previous clients just trust me. My hunts are the best thing since pockets on a shirt.

Squirrel is good eating. I remember them in Virginia. Haven't hunted them in a long time. Sounds like you had fun.

Stay on the stairmaster! Focus on your upcoming dall sheep hunt.

Any price structure difference between the black squirrel and common fox squirrel?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO: Any pink or white ones available:sneaky:;)

I will admit this about this hunt. It seems that our group of men are sexist, racist, and homophobic.

the evidence:
1. almost all of the animals killed were males. (part of what makes this a trophy squirrel hunt) but still we were accused of sexism.
2. The one female that was killed was a red squirrel and the shooter was accused of racism because the only reason he shot it was because she was in the tree with a male black squirrel.
3. The two raccoons were both males and were laying in the fork of the tree together. I was accused of homophobia because I shot the coons while on a squirrel hunt just because they were together.

oh, don't worry about the prices. it's just "details" to be settled at the end of the hunt.

As to color variants, we do offer some color variants. these are in a different high fence section. It is still fair chase, though, as it is a 30 acre piece of land behind the high fence.
They are considerably more, though, for good reason.
Have you ever tried to hold a squirrel still long enough to bleach its fur and then dye it? That squirrel will bite you.

@Savage Hunter would a cross between a Giant and rooseveldt sable be sufficient for a trade. If so, I would like to keep all the squirrels nuts, especially the uneaten ones. What's the price on ammo, you failed to mention.

Will any other hunters be sharing the cabin?

ps...what does Ms Lana look like?

1. For a free sable, I'll dip all the squirrel nuts in chocolate and box them up for you.
2. Ammo? slingshot and all the rocks you need are free.
3. You'll be the only one sleeping on the cabin's back porch.
4. Ms Lana is a hottie. typical southern belle. Unfortunately for you, she's married to me. I would have her make you strawberry chocolate chip waffles, though.

@Savage Hunter , please post pictures to verify Ms Lana is married to you. WOW I can't believe you would get the nuts dipped in chocolate, that is first class service. Can I swap Gator for Bud lite???

I might be interested if the menu includes squirrel head stew with brown gravey. Ate it as an undergrad at LSU in the early 70's, got a craving looking at those trophy tree rats.

I hate to post an animal I have available in another outfitter's offer, but....

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
