Are you talking about a Ruger Mark II Express with quarter rib, or are you talking about a Ruger Hawkeye African?Cabela's Kansas City has one in 6.5x55 in the gun room
Bob, their has been at least one member that have been confusing the rifles. The OP is wanting a Ruger Express in 3006, Kycrawler is talking about a Hawkeye in 6.5 which I don't believe he knows the difference. Are you talking about a Ruger Mark II Express with quarter rib, or are you talking about a Ruger Hawkeye African?
@Kycrawler. The Express rifles come in 2506 through .338 Win Mag calibers, but not the 6.5 Swede. The Hawkeye African doesn't have a brake or matte finish either, nor does it have a quarter rib. This one was polished blue not matte had a 1/4 rib and no muzzle brake. Definitely was a mk 2 not a Hawkeye

The top rifle is a Ruger Express. The second is a Ruger Hawkeye African 6.5x55....or Swede

Do you want something really nice or willing to go with a good working rifle with a few dings? I have both options available.Reviving an old thread here, but what would be a good price for a Ruger Express in 30-06 or 300 win mag, used or like new condition? I'd like to have one as a PG rifle and lighter twin to my Lott. Not sure which caliber or if I need to spend the money...haha.
Krish says he has one for me that's really nice, in 30-06 haha. I just missed one with a few dings on gunbroker, it went for 1399.00. Metal was fine though.Do you want something really nice or willing to go with a good working rifle with a few dings? I have both options available.
How does your express shoot?I paid $1250 + or - for my Express in .300 Win Mag about 3-4 years ago. Recently I have seen sellers asking as much as $3000 for theirs but have no idea if they can receive that much for them. Not from me they can't.
Like most of my guns, they pretty much all shoot better than I can. I only shoot out to 100, with only occasionally shoot out to 150. My express has a older model 3x9 Zeiss. The best scope I own!How does your express shoot?
Unfortunately I did not get the GB one. I just think they are awesome looking rifles and a piece of Ruger history.I wonder if the 30-06 was rare in the RSM? I have never seen one. At the time they were introduced, this model was about 3X as expensive as a standard Mod 77, so expect many people opted for the latter. $1250 and $1399 are awesome prices....I have seen a number of big bore RSM's sell for twice that......congrats...............FWB
