I am looking for a second hand/used AR 7 bugout rifle

I have failed to find this gun out here in Zimbabwe or South Africa

Anyone with a cheap one please?

Interesting choice of “bug out” rifle. Have you looked at a takedown version of the Ruger 10/22? Much more dependable and tons of accessories can be had, AR-7 not so much.

AR-7 has the cool factor way beyond a 10-22. I think they are neat little rifles, have owned a couple, reliable gun if kept clean. Love the original ArmaLite with the bowling ball colored stock. And of course it has the James Bond factor too. One was used in "From Russia with Love" to good effect.
However it was chambered for the massive "point two five" caliber as Q put it, whatever that was. Plus it will pass the float test! Try that with a Ruger, LOL.

There is no doubt they are cool and the Armalite was awesome! I’ve had a couple myself and liked them. The ergonomics of the AR-7 is about as good as whittling the sharp corners off of a 4x4 timber and calling it a stock. Duct taping a boat dock bumper to a 10/22 will fix the floatation problem and render the 10/22 to closer dimensions of the AR-7 stock! :sneaky:

.25 ACP, presumably. Which is only slightly bigger than the .22LR, so a specially made AR-7 in the cartridge isn't impossible.

Now, for me, I'm kinda hankering for one of these:

Too bad the Marlin youth model doesn't come in .22WMR (regular one does, though), or .22 Hornet like the original USAF rifle did:

I suspect the one in the movie was a .22, they just wanted to say it was something elseo_O. When you say "point two five caliber" with a British accent, well its just works that's all.:Do_O

They could make a movie of nothing but Q explaining gadgets and I'd watch it.

That one movie where he made a rocket-launching stereo and called it a "ghetto blaster"...
:D

Henry makes a model they call the "U.S. Survival" that is all but identical to the AR - 7. My Henry feeds and functions flawlessly and is reasonably accurate given the crude sights, trigger and short barrel.

I saw you were looking for some Swift A-Frames for your 9.3. I just bought a bulk supply of them in the 285g. version. If Toby's are gone, I could let 100 go for $200 shipped you are interested.
Thanks,
Gary

Booked with Harold Grinde - Gana River - they sure kill some good ones - who'd you get set up with?
