Concerned about getting scammed, I could use some recommendations from AH members.

I'd like to hunt roebuck for 2-3 days (max) in Bulgaria with pickup in Sofia in Mid-September. I'd prefer to rent a firearm while I'm there if legal rather than traveling with one.

I'd like to hunt unfenced land rather than fenced estates. I'd like to avoid "pay by the inch or kilo" pricing models. Thinking of 2-3 roebuck hunted maximum.

Thanks for any suggestions or pricing details.

Give Bob Kern a call. He owns the Hunting Consortium and has a rock solid reputation among the consigliere. Huntingconsortium.com He specifically has tremendous experience putting together European Hunts. We are off to Austria in mid-September to do the same thing along the Hungarian border (followed by ten days in Salzburg and Vienna). Bob and Margaret did a great job setting the up the whole schedule. They could match a quality hunt to existing travel plans if anyone can.

I hunted w Pannovad in Hungary for Roebuck and boar. Another quality option to consider

Have a look at the website of Diana Jagdreisen: https://www.diana-hunting.com/europe/bulgaria
Or this one (K & K Premium): https://www.premium-jagdreisen.de/index.php?language=en
Fenced estates are almost unheard of in Europe. Fenced hunting is frowned upon, if not forbidden. There are plenty of hunting organizers in Europe.

I can’t recommend an outfitter in those countries, but I’ve hunted in other countries multiple times for roe bucks. Is there a reason you want to go in mid-September? The rut is end of July/early August. It is the most fun hunting I’ve done, just constant action while you hunt them during rut.

As mentioned earlier,
Sepetember is still hnting season, but roe bucks are exausted after the rut, they dont move much, so hunting is difficult.
By all means, if that is your time frame, go for it - just be ready not to take a roe buck.

Consider back up options.
Red deer in rut. Or European wild boar hunting. Possible fallow deer.

In Bulgaria and Romania I dont know anybody to recommend, but we have a sponsor here, oufitter in Romania.
