I'm kind of the opposite. I had one of the Lee bench ones and that nearly gave me a heart attack when it jammed and then blew up. I packed that up and donated it to a friend afterwards and didn't look back. IIRC they might have had a recall or safety concern with them blowing up and had to change the model design a bit afterwards.I have Lee, RCBS and Sinclair priming tools. I use the Lee hand or bench mounted tools for most rifle calibers, the RCBS for pistol calibers and the Sinclair for anything requiring real precision.
The Lyman is one of the few handheld tools available that will fit nearly all African calibers, but I don't own one.
The Lee Ram Prime is probably your best option, especially considering the quantities you are likely to load in that caliber, but it's my least favorite of everything mentioned. I simply prefer a bench mounted tool.
My Lee bench prime is less than a year old, so likely is the updated design. No problems at all after several thousand rounds.I'm kind of the opposite. I made a new one out of 4140 as it would take too long for one to get here and the importer doesn’t seem to care about service. My other gripe with it is that the primer seating pin thing can stick in the shell holder, it just catches and will often drop back down by itself, just something to watch while using, otherwise it is fast to useIn my opinion the rcbs bench model is the way to go. I've tried them all and I feel this is the best design for ease of use and doing volume it's got one kinda flaw. It has a proprietary bolt that holds the handle on and acts as the fulcrum for the leverage and whatever kinda metal they used to make this bolt is prone to failure. I've broken several of them over the years and of course rcbs will replace it but hassle of being down and having to ship it out and wait for the return sucks. That's why I own a second one that is on ice just for this situation but other than that it's a great tool
My lee hand primer will accept a shell holder that fits 416 rigby but the body is to narrow for the base of the cartridge.
