For this guy it is a reality. What do you think? I think he is going to piss this million away in a glorious flash. But, I like his planning.

What a great idea for a reality show, a group of hunters are filmed seeing who can piss away a mil the fastest! I want in because I am an expert at pissing away just about everything I get my hands on!

If I won the lottery:
1. Rigby 416
2. Holland and holland double, royal
3. Big 5
4. Aquatics for full dg 7
5. LDE
6. Bongo
7. Mountain nyala
8. Full spiral slam
9. When i think about it, one more rigby in 375 h and h.

Donate after taxes half to the US wounded Warrior program. Not sure about the rest, but it would be will spent.

Winning the Euromillions?

Sure I'll do some more cool hunts. Much more. But one cannot be on holiday permanently, I still need a purpose in life (and to show my children that hard work is still important).

I'd try to make it my mission to put the Belgian gunmaking business back on the map, with basic to semi-custom to fully bespoke offerings. But mostly aimed at filling the current gap of affordable, CRF magnum actioned rifles in 9.3x62 and up.

My idea would be to create one common name, have the few remaining gunmakers in Belgium each responsible for some part of the build, so they can be produced in quantity and then sell them to whoever can appreciate a well-made rifle with the Belgian touch. (Basically, the way the gun business used to be set up. 1 brand name, and many artisans each specializing in some part of the rifle).

it's fun to dream from time to time.

Buy/ have built one good D/G bolt actioned rifle, have my half-done projects finished. donations to "Mates4Mates", an Aussie support group for ex -diggers. Some more donations to worthy causes, after having some update work done on the house ...

What would I do?...hhhmmmmmm....

1. Pay off what few debts I have
2. Donations to 3 charities I like
3. 2 custom double rifles, 416 and 375 Rigby
4. Buy a cargo plane capable of trans Atlantic fights
5. Stash a bit in my bank accounts
6. Add a bigger trophy room onto the house
7. Plan multiple hunting trips to. Africa, Europe, and South America.

BTW....The cargo plane will be a cut rate business, used to transport fellow AHers trophies to country of residence to help save on shipping fees....and to earn additional hunting funds.

Dunno, if it ever happens I will think on it.
Yes, I would spend a good portion of it. The wife likes to travel so I can plan hunts around that and I would like one fancy rifle if I won the funds, but I would probably invest a fair part or buy land.

I'm at the stage in my life that I want to collect money to be sure I'm comfortable in retirement but leave a legacy for the next generation to build on.

@Bullthrower338 has the best idea. A reality show could fund a dozen of by providing a million bucks each to lead a lavish lifestyle chasing our dreams and making good entertainment for the audience.

I'm sure I could find a dozen deserving people here to participate and it would still come in under the cost of one episode of Yellowstone from what's being reported.

I already won the lottery. Married the woman of my dreams almost 30 years ago.

But seriously. I’d schedule a one month hunt in Tz with some friends (and my wife) for buff & wild lion. Then to AK for costal brown bear and waterfowl/fishing from a charter boat.

EDIT - Next would be a two month trip to AUS to visit my internet friends and hunt water buffalo and cull camels.

A million dollar lottery win isn’t even enough to buy any nice property on the water these days. Here in Canada that translates into $650,000.00 USDs. It will help pay off what is owed and a couple nice vacations, one to Australia and back to Africa for another awesome hunt.

I remember thinking about what I'd do if I won the Powerball a few years ago when the prize was about $300 million (not the recent $1.5 billion). I decided then and there that at least half the money would go into a charitable foundation dedicated to gun rights, wildlife conservation, and healthcare in the mountains of NC. In retrospect, I might also add in financial education at the high school level and promoting conservative scholarship.

The recent big Powerball made me think I'd add a massive ranch in Texas to the mix. Rather than owning it outright, I'd have the foundation own it for "wildlife research". Right. ;)

1. Hunt a very large elephant, Botswana ?

2. A one month trip (or more, if needed) to Australian and New Zealand, seeing as much of each country as possible, and hunting whatever is available.

3. Taking care of my family´s future.

I’ve thought about some of these Powerball jackpots in recent months since they have been huge.

1. No debt
2. Buy a farm/build a house for whitetail hunting near my hometown. Hard to beat IL for deer.
3. Help out my closest family where needed.
4. Immediately book hunts for the sheep slam.
5. Spend May through September in Africa to start my African hunting career the right way.

My wife and I don't argue unless one of us says, "what would we do if we won the lottery"...We'll be screaming at the top of our lungs in less than 60 seconds.

Lack of money isn't a problem, it is the symptom of a different problem. I can't convince my wife that giving money to people that don't have money isn't a good thing and doesn't solve problems...it creates problems.

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John [redacted]
