Whitetails (10 pt & 11 pt) from South Texas hunt arrived today

I did a short, 3 day hunt in South Texas in mid-January of this year ( https://www.africahunting.com/threads/usa-south-texas-deer-hunt-january-2022.66934/ ).

Two and half months later, got my two shoulder mounts from the local taxidermist I used in Dilley, TX. This is the fastest turn around time I have ever had on any mount.

I took a few photos outside and will have to do some rearranging in the man-cave to place these guys.

Nice bucks. The mounts look good. I'm surprised he got them done so fast. The tannery my taxi is using is 4-5 months out..... Nice looking mounts.

Nice. Looks good! I hunt down south quite a bit and hard to believe anything can live in that country. Namibia reminds me a lot of STexas.

The south Texas taxidermist is originally from Long Island, New York. His dad has a taxidermy business up there and they are partners in their own tannery.

I asked the taxidermist to have the deer looking down, as I am going to have to mount them up high on the wall. He put them in a semi-sneak, but didn't really customized the pose much. I had a taxi in Cypress (NW Houston) do my red deer and he customized it perfectly with a downward look. He did sort of gripe a bit on how much extra work it was though.
