Just thought I’d share a couple Whitetails from the past that were taken on a couple private land permissions

They’re nothing huge but they are my better deer yet.

Those are all great bucks and I bet the tasted good too. Congrats.

My nephew lives near Gerardstown, WV. You any where close? I saw a few deer around there in the orchards a couple of Christmas' ago.

I’m about 45 minutes from Gerrardstown. Never been there so I couldn’t say anything about the deer in that area. But about another 20-30 minutes down 81 from there is the George Washington National Forest. Which I’ve hunted a lot. Full of deer, bear, turkey, etc. Would be cool if your nephew and I crossed paths

I know exactly where that is. Never hunted Jefferson NF. Spent a lot of time not far from there in the George Washington NF. Whitetail hunting in those hills(WV mountains) can be challenging

Congrats - Awfully big for Virginia deer, I take it from the photos you are more towads the Shenandoah valley/Blue ridge area?

My in-laws are from Loudon Co, and I used to hunt closer to Fredericksburg (back in the 90’s)…much smaller deer. I also went to school in Blacksburg also, but going to football games was my fall activity.

Thank you. I’m not far from there. Shenandoah is about 30 minutes going SW so definitely not far. I’m actually in Loudoun as well. Just on the VA side of the rice from Harpers Ferry. Man I had no idea there were so many on here that are familiar with my current stomping grounds. So awesome!

Congrats! Those are some nice bucks. Any mature whitetail is a trophy.

Congratulations on some great deer. I am from Wisconsin near Sheboygan (for the golfers think Ryder Cup!) and those would be great deer for us. They are all great and bigger than anything I have shot. Just beautiful! Your friend, Brian

Thank you Brian. I have heard some good things about the larger caliber of deer in your area. Hope you’re able to get and get after them this season. Rut activity is starting to kick off around us

What a great way to kick off our 2025 hunting season in South Africa.

This beautiful Impala ram was taken at just over 300 yards, took a few steps and toppled over.

We are looking forward to the next week and a half of hunting with our first client of the year.

Do you have any more copies of African Dangerous Game Cartridges, Author: Pierre van der Walt ? I'm looking for one. Thanks for any information, John buzzardhilllabs@hotmail.com
NRA benefactor, areas hunted, add congo, Mozambique3, Zambia2
Out of all the different color variations of Impala the black Impala just stands out with its beautiful pitch black hide.

Impala is one of the animals you will see all over Africa.
You can see them in herds of a 100 plus together.

This excellent ram was taken with one of our previous client this past season.
