Yeah, no surprises on this list…or the airlines not included. The fast approaching “hard landing” of the economy will be bad medicine for our domestic carriers. The federal government won’t be able to bail them out again. Our nation will soon learn how broke we are once the interest rates take off. That’ll leave the airlines having to fend for themselves. The people who can still afford to travel won‘t pay the ever-climbing ticket prices for the wretched level of service the domestic carriers provide.

I'm not sure about the Federal government not bailing them out AGAIN? WE bailed them out after 9/11, which was SUPPOSED to be a $18 BILLION dollar LOAN, but morphed into a giveaway. Then the BILLIONS they received during the housing collapse and Great Recession in 2008. Then more BILLIONS during the Covid lockdowns. It's not just the airlines though. Our automobile manufacturers are a close second in Federal bailouts. They both employee LOTS of people which are mostly Union employees. The 100,000 and counting (that stat was from two years ago!) small businesses that failed JUST during Covid, received mostly NOTHING from our Government. It's been this way FOREVER! And with super pro Union braindead Brandon in office, which way do you think the "free money train" is headed? When the coming recession hits HARD and gas prices tank and the auto manufacturers who have put mostly ALL of their resources in electric vehicles which nobody will buy, how many BILLIONS will they get AGAIN to keep them afloat? We have a $30.7 TRILLION dollar Federal budget deficit and GROWING everyday. It's actually at the point of no return, so as Hillary infamously said when being grilled by Congress over Benghazi, "What difference does it make now?" Probably none.

Oh, I don’t doubt that the feds wI’ll want to pump cash to the airlines again….if they have any. The increase in interest rates will make it tough for the government to stay current on the INTEREST on the national debt. As our debt becomes tough to service our credit worthiness will come into question. I’ve always said that the gravy train derails the first sunny morning that we release a bond offering and no one buys.

I find it surprising that Qatar is ahead of Singapore.

Or hyper inflammation makes the 30 trillion debt in relation to the GNP small. Stranger things have happened.
