Gents,
Some of you have probably noticed that over the last few days, I've been trying to track down a 6.5x55 bolt rifle (to pair with this one). As a result of that process, what I consider a "grail rifle" has materialized. Not knowing when -- or if -- I'll get the opportunity again, I'm going for it. Hence, why this one is for sale.
This is a 1939 Erma Werke Mauser chambered in 6.5x55. Locks up tight. It came to me re-barreled and cerakoated. Whoever did the work knew what they were doing. The trigger is *outstanding.* Has a two-position wing safety on the back of the bolt. The stock is a Boyd's that I stripped, upgraded with a real ebony grip cap and forend tip, floated/bedded, then refinished with tru-oil. The bolt was done by Baldwin. The bottom metal/trigger guard was alumahyded to match the barrel. It's got a red decelerator pad. With factory Norma 140 grain partitions, this one shot better than MOA. Also comes with a one-piece Leupold base and corresponding 1" rings. (Please note this was a military action so after you eject the last round, the follower comes up to hold the bolt open.)
I will ship UPS to your FFL with insurance for the full purchase price. (Lower 48 only, no CA or any prohibited states.) Your FFL must accept from an individual. (Given the work done, this one can't go C&R.) Will accept personal check, USPSMO, or Zelle. (Will wait to ship until payment clears if paying by check.) Please claim here and then send me logistical details through a PM. (This is cross-listed at 24hrcf. Will go by timestamp on either site.)
$1150 shipped.
Thanks y'all.
