In October this year I had the privilege to take my old friend and client Jim, whom I've hunted and fished with extensively over the past 4 years, to the Luangwa valley in Zambia. Frank a very good friend of Jim, who has now become a friend of mine, came along.
The hunt took place in an area called "Upper Lupandi" bordering the South Luangwa National park. Both Frank and Jim mainly went after hippo, croc and buffalo however the plains game was an absolute bonus.
Upper Lupandi is truly an African, wild, untamed hunting paradise! Both Jim and Frank had amazing hunts over the 10 day period. Each got exceptional trophies including the hippos, crocs, 2 x buffalo each as well as a few extra plains game species were ticked off the list.
As a professional hunter, it was an honor and a privilege to be able to guide and hunt with fellow Zambian professional hunters Greg Michelson and Jody Higgens, in an area that had exceptional quality and quantity of wildlife.
Jim and Frank were great clients and more importantly, new friendships had been created and friendship created in the African bush lasts forever.
The African bug has bitten again... and we are already planning hunts for 2019 and 2020..
Next up, Massai land - Tanzania.
