Has anyone hunted the Doma area with Doma Safaris and Gordon Duncan.

Beware ! Don't hesitate to contact me info@dannaudsafaris.com for full details !

why beware? sounds ominous. i think if you are going to post a reply that looks/sounds potentially bad for some one you should at least put your facts out there ,and give us your reasons for making such a statement so they or their associates can respond/defend/explain themselves.

I couldn't agree more. This is a powerful sight. Do a Google search for Doma Safaris and this tread will be the third link on the 1st page. If you have something bad to share please do. It will get your message to a lot of people. This will allow Doma to respond as well.

To The Charmain and members of SOAZ and the ZPHGA

We write this letter after nearly a year of attempts to get Mr Gordon Duncan
to pay for a safari that we as Charlton MacCullum Safaris hosted at his
special instance and request.

The reason for this communication is that we feel we have a duty as
responsible operators and the two associations to ensure that other like
minded operators are not found in the same predicament as us.The only way to
ensure this is to publicaly send this email to our other members so that
they can be fore warned about Mr Duncan.

Last year Mr Duncan came into our offices pleading for us to help him as he
had two clients from the States sitting at a bed and breakfast with no where
to hunt. He alleged that they were booked into Doma Safari area but
political issues meant he could not take them there.

We knew that he was suffering from adverse financial issues so said we would
happily take on the safari if he paid in full before sending in clients
which he could not do. The next day he came back pleading and offered his
landcruiser keys to us as collateral for the hunt. Against our better
judgment we decided to help him out and on short notice took on the two
clients. We did not want to leave him with no transport and as he promised
to pay before the end of the safari we did not take his cruiser as payment.

A brief outline of the facts are as follows;

1/ He never paid us a cent for the safari despite numerous broken promises
and excuses.
2/ To the best of our knowledge he was paid in full by the aforementioned
clients and has converted these funds to personal use.
3/ His landcruiser does not belong to him as we later found out. Further
this ploy has been used before.
4/ He did not even bother visiting the clients at the end of the hunt and
had it not been for the PH who organised them a bed and breakfast and a trip
to the airport the clients would once again have been stranded.
5/In addition we have a current client who informed us he had a bad hunting
experience with Mr Duncan, further still awaits his trophies and monies
owed to him and intends to take legal action against him.
6/ We have on record all communication from Mr Duncan as well as T R 2
numbers relevant to the hunt.

Regards
Buzz Charlton and Myles MacCallum for and on behalf of Charlton MacCallum
Safaris.

Not a surprise unfortunately. Mr Gordon Duncan owes me 7668 $ for 3 years now - advance payment for trophy fees that were never refunded & safari not provided as contracted.

No offence to tribe and Dannaudsafaris, I don`t know you guys (yet) with only a couple of posts. But thanks for bringings this forward. I have looked at Doma before, this interests me.
Someone should verify this with SOAZ and the ZPHGA. Buzz and Myles I have heard a lot about and everything positive. This is not a good sign.

This appears to be a letter TO the organizations (SOAZ, ZPHGA) from CMS for general distribution to help outfitters avoid Gordan Duncan and another potential FRAUD.

Hi Jay,

Hope you're well.

I'm headed your way in January.

Attending SHOT Show has been a long time bucket list item for me.

Finally made it happen and I'm headed to Vegas.

I know you're some distance from Vegas - but would be keen to catch up if it works out.

Have a good one.

Mark
