DSC thread Deleted

Pretty easy to read this and understand it...
"reserve the rights to remove or modify any Content submitted for any reason without explanation. Requests for Content to be removed or modified will be undertaken only at our discretion. We reserve the right to take action against any account with the Service at any time"

Agreed, and seems to keep in step with the DSC moto of ........ No info is better than bad press.

I would speculate that someone sent someone else a legal letter and rather than dump money into an attorney the cheaper option was to remove it.
This seems the most likely explanation to me, so I pick F as the most likely answer. If true, that just tells you what the new DSC leadership is like. For me personally, I have not missed a DSC convention for many years but next year I will not be going to Atlanta and will be going to Nashville!!

Well said sir!.....

Been a DSC life member for all of 3 years now, next year I'll be attending TTHA in Dallas and SCI in Nashville.

One thing we should all keep in mind is that the First Amendment (or the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms) applies only to governmental actions and not to private actions such the removal of a thread on a private forum.

I will say I did find the now deceased thread useful and it did encourage me as a DSC Life Member to read the bylaws. Living as I do in the DSC hinterlands - aka not Texas - the thread did provide some backstory (from at least one perspective) to comments I have read here and elsewhere.

Generally I have found "clubs" = drama, especially clubs with a lot of pampered rich guys. I am delighted the Masonic Lodge I now belong to is pretty much exclusively laid back retired working class guys. Not a lot of petty bickering. My tolerance level for that stuff is very low, hence I have learned to avoid "getting involved" in leadership roles.

If DSC and @Greg Simons have any integrity, then I would think they would answer the questions I asked in the now deleted thread.

Very specifically, I think all DSC members deserve an answer as to whether the incoming president said that DSC is not a conservation first organization, and that the Board intended to restore the organization to being a “hunting club”.

This should be an easy question to answer.

As of now I’ll take their silence as an admission.

Reading between the lines, this started with C&D and ended with F. Therefore, this site is most likely being monitored which means this thread will need to be deleted shortly as well. A suggestion would be to resume the conversation in the Politics thread or better yet the CBL thread so it will be deleted then we could rehash that topic which should take us through January and we can start over! :ROFLMAO:

I would also like a specific response from DSC and @Greg Simons as to whether Greg or DSC took any action, including but not limited to making legal threats against AH or any AH members, to have the previously deleted thread removed.

Yes. I suspect that is exactly what they did, threaten legal action against AH, knowing full well they could not win a 1st amendment case because it is likely much, if not all, of the thread was accurate. They probably accurately assessed that they had a big legal war-chest of money and AH likely did not.

DSC = Don't Say Chit about me or I'll cry to daddy and have him threaten you. They are digging their own grave. Sad.

Morning Rob, Any feeling for how the 300 H&H shoots? How's the barrel condition?

Hello. I see you hunted with Sampie recently. If you don't mind me asking, where did you hunt with him? Zim or SA? And was it with a bow? What did you hunt?

I am possibly going to book with him soon.
Currently doing a load development on a .404 Jeffrey... it's always surprising to load .423 caliber bullets into a .404 caliber rifle. But we love it when we get 400 Gr North Fork SS bullets to 2300 FPS, those should hammer down on buffalo. Next up are the Cutting Edge solids and then Raptors... load 200 rounds of ammo for the customer and on to the next gun!
